Heading Home Early...

I just don't get it. It is not yet 1pm on Memorial Day and there is a steady flow of traffic on 8 headed South. We live on 8 which runs N/S and can be used as an alternate route to the busy 169 which is the main N/S freeway in these parts. When I used to come up here on weekends or go to the old cabin on Sylvia/Twin, I often would not head home until the very last minute, which in many cases meant leaving at midnight or later. Of coarse the fact that I am single and without kids may have something to do with it, but I think a lot of those cars going South don't have kids in them. Packing it in early, I really do not get it.
