Now I'm probably like most in that I will take a Sucker Shot when I can get it, but finding a reliable Sucker Shot isn't always easy. Things often change from year to year or the weather won't cooperate and shuts the "Sucker" right down.

Boyd Duckett Blogged about Day 1... Boyd has an interesting strategy in effect. His goal on Day 1 was not to bomb and be in striking distance. Day 2 will be an attempt to go large or go home.

Bass Fishing For Beginners

The bass fishing blog Big Indiana Bass has an excellent article Catching Bass - The $100 Challenge. The article is a road map to getting a beginner outfitted for bass fishing for $100. And the truth is you really don't have to spend that much as you could easily forgo some of the stuff and still be pretty well equipped.

If someone out there is a beginner that wants to get into bass fishing, I highly recommend that you seek out an experienced bass fisherman in your local area who would be willing to steer you in the right direction. A great way to find somebody like that would be to find a fishing message board or two or three that is popular with anglers in your local area. Not all fishing message boards are equal, but a good message board is a fantastic resource that should not be overlooked.

One board that I would recommend a bass fishing beginner take a look at is The Bassholes.com, which has one board dedicated to Bassin for Beginners. You may or may not be able to connect up with someone local through The Bassholes.com because it more national than regional or local in scope.

Growing The Sport over at Big Indiana Bass I thought this was good for a laugh.

I actually haven't heard much in the bass fishing world about "growing the sport" in the last couple of years where we have witnessed a great deal of contraction.

Big Indiana Bass Has a New Look

In my opinion Big Indiana Bass is one of the best bass blogs out there. However, I don't visit it as much as I should. Anyway, it's sporting a new look more in line with the blogs scientific side. To be honest I liked the old look a little better.

Some More Bass Fishing Bloggers

The Armchair Anglers Podcast is a couple of bloggers that I found thanks to Big Indiana Bass blog. I took a shine to Armchair Angler blogger Bo Crawford as that he got banned from The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide forums and didn't go down about it quietly. This blog is out of Alabama and is all over this years Classic.

Note- This blog is hosting Fantasy Fishing Leagues with FLW and BASS/ESPN that are going to be offering some pretty phenomenal prizes.

Bo Crawford, CFP, CLU, ChFC (Don't know what those initials stand for) This obviously is the personal blog of Armchair Angler Podcast blogger Bo Crawford. One thing I know about him besides the banning is that he had a Opinion piece published in BassFan.

Clembone's Blog is written by long time outdoor writer/editor Alan Clemons. Much like Kramer Gone Fishing this is a blog by a true pro with connections, so you know it's got to be good. I found this one thanks to Bo Crawford blog's blogroll.

2 Bass Fishing Blogs I Should Read More Often

Big Indiana Bass I have a very high opinion of this bass fishing blog, yet I don't check it often even though Brian Waldman posts on a regular basis.

Kramer Gone Fishing- Is a blog I just recently discovered that is very well written with frequent new articles. The sites author George Kramer is well connected in Professional Bass Fishing circles, especially out West.

Bassing Blogger Note: On Facebook today FLW Co-Angler blogger Sondra Rankin was talking about getting active with her blog again soon. Her blogs are not dated so I am unsure exactly when her last entry was published.

How commen are 5lb Bass? is an interesting article by Brian Waldman at the blog Big Indiana Bass. Check out the article and the blog, it looks like it has many interesting articles.

Update: I highly recommend spending some time at Big Indiana Bass. This blog has fantastic content.
