MN Gal Chasing the Bassmaster Opens This Year

 Don't know much about her other than what I read in this background piece, On The Hook With Kara Pasma at Bassmaster.com.  She is fishing Division 2 along with Moynagh, Douglas, and Tuma.  I didn't listen to large stretches of the weigh-in at Sam Rayburn, so I missed her in that one. Her first two tournaments haven't gone well. They were also seriously sub par for Snatcher Tuma.  And Moynagh and Douglas also bombed at Kentucky Lake. They will all need to finish the final two tournaments really strong to make the EQ 50 Cut.

Fothergill Wins Euflala Open Qualifying for 2nd Bassmaster Classic In A Row

 And he now leads the pack EQ Qualifier points. This kid from Grand Rapids, MN is a bass fishing phenom. With the remaining venues, there is no way he will crash the car at this point. He will be in the Elite Series next year.

Tuma Sacks 27-14 on Day 1 at Toledo Bend

 

Tuma started the Toledo Bend Open with a bang catching 27+ and the day's big bass 9/8, tieing his PB. Milliken caught 29-8, so Keith is in second. Tuma reported not being in a crowd and is optimistic about another good bag tomorrow.

Snatcher Tuma more than doubled his Day 1 weight catching 22/12 and jumped up well over 100 places in the standings to finish in 25th Place in the first Bassmaster Open Elite Qualifier of 2023.

Josh Douglas Qualifies For The Elite Series

All my fishing energies were focused on Platte Lake this past weekend, so I missed Josh Douglas making the ten cut at the Southern Open. Thus qualifying to be the second Bass Pundit MN Blogger Derby participant to make the Elite Series. Bob Downey was the first.  I have so much respect for Josh as a person and angler. He is the ultimate grinder who just kept at it getting closer season after season.  This guy hustles, and his love for catching bass and sharing bass fishing knowledge is really something special. He put in the work for his sponsors everywhere he went in venues small and large.  Josh wanted it, and now he's got it. Congratulations man, can't wait to see you up there with Mercer and making it to your first Classic. I don't think anything is going to stop you from reaching your goals. Get that Rookie of the Year in 22.

Tuma Makes The 10 Cut with 20lb Bag On Day 2

Unfortunately, the BASS weigh-in feed was having issues and I gave up trying to get it to work, so I didn't see it when Keith weighed in with his 20lb 5oz bag. He just made it at the 10 Spot.  He is a little under 13lbs out of first. It is Florida, so anything is possible. He had the 4th biggest weight of Day 2. 

Bass Snatcher Keith Tuma Is Fishing The Bassmaster Opens This Year

 The first tournament of the year starts today at the Harris Chain. It would be so cool to see a Snatcher make the Elites. There is no doubt in my mind Keith is that good. Good Luck Keith!
