April Was A Good Month For Fishing!

The steady temps for much of the month made for some pretty decent and consistent fishing for me last month.  At least until the cold and snow this past week.  I didn't get out the last few days of the month because I had to get my tackle together and the house in order for the return of Mom and Dad on the 30th.  I really hammered the gills over on Bulldog a few times.  The silver bullhead and dogfish bite was satisfactory for the most part.  I never got skunked, but did have a few 1 fish trips.  I caught 479 fish for the month, which puts it as the 2nd most productive month since I started keeping track at Fish Swami in 2011.  My most productive lure by far was T.H.E. Jig, which went from 0 fish to rocket to the top spot of lures for the year with 252 fish caught.  I've now caught over 200 fish with 3 different lures this year (T.H.E. Jig, Glow Demon (236), VMC Fly (204)).  I will blog my Outlook for May tomorrow.
