Winner, Winner at the St. John's River

The final results are in, and thanks to the 40 bonus points for John Cox's big bass of the tournament, I took 2nd Place in the Bass Boat Central pay-to-play group, thus slightly nudging into the black with 9 more tournaments remaining. It's been a few years since I have won anything in Fantasy Fishing. I also came out on top in the HellaBass Visor Gang Group. I may or may not get a prize for that.

Unfortunately, my Drain the Lake team fell flat on its face on Days 2 & 3, leading to a mediocre score. In Pick'Em, I also shot myself in the foot, going 3-4.

Winner, Winner, I Am Getting Some Hooks From Omnia For Dinner

My team for Lake Oahe was Gussy, Seth, The Sleepy Assassin,  Mueller, and Redwine. Thankfully, although not an incredible roster, it was enough to win the group for this tournament in the Bass Boat Central small-stakes group I have been a part of for the last few years.  One more chance to win more money this week with the Elite finally on the Mississippi.

Drats! Omnia is currently out of the hooks I need.

Winner! Winner! Finally In 2019 I'm A Winner!

The month of April had come and gone and I hadn't won anything yet.  No giveaway's, no Fantasy Fishing prizes, nothing.  My luck changed this week when I won the Bass Boat Central opt-in Fantasy League for the Elite Series at Lake Fork.  So basically I think I'm a few bucks up on what I paid out while participating in this league for the past 3 years or so.

"Average size fish you catch?"

That was the question asked on Bass Boat Central Message Board thread. It was a question I'd frankly never given a whole lot of thought to except in my Bass Snatcher tournament weights where that info is provided for me on the clubs website.  As I contemplated my thoughts on the matter a bulb went on in my head;  Fish Swami can answer that question for me.  Fish Swami is an online fishing log that I have kept on all my fish catches since 2011.  They even had a pre-formed database query that instantly popped out the answer on every fish species I've caught since 2011.

I thought that's pretty cool!  But what's really cool is that I can customize my search queries to break down the info by year or month with pattern information right down to individual lures and individually to the lakes where I caught them.  Holy treasure trove of info batman!  That average size info has been just sitting there all this time and up until now, I haven't made any use of it.

For instance, I learned that I caught a significantly better-sized largemouth on Terminator Frogs and Sprinker knockoffs.

Winner Winner a Lew's Combo for Dinner

Lew's Tournament MB
I am in a B.A.S.S. Fantasy Bass Fishing league associated with the Bass Boat Central message boardSportsman's Outfitters is a BBC sponsor that is donating prizes for each event.  It must be a random draw to win the Sportsman Warehouse prize because there was nothing distinguishing about my Classic line up which finished in the bottom 25% of the league.  I don't know what speed the reel will be or anything about the rod I will be getting.  I haven't used a Lew's reel in years, but I really liked the one I had back in the 90's.

Update: Sportsman's Outfitters gave me my choice of reel speed and rod.  I chose the 6.8:1 reel and the 6'9" M Trap Special Lew's Custom Speed Stick.
